The idea for this painting had been in the back of my mind for a good while. When I moved to my current apartment, I really wanted a colourful centerpiece in the form of a large canvas painting to dominate the space of the living room. I chose the topic of women, having been inspired by the “sisters” around me - my beautiful wonderful friends. Based on the endless conversations I led with them over the past year, I came up with the idea for the characters in the painting - the “three graces”, the snake and the slightly unfriendly fruits. And of course, my beloved sad moon.
